A TASTE OF ITALY, IN THE COMFORT OF YOUR
Ciao and welcome to Æmilia!
The story of Æmilia starts at home, during April 2020.
Having both worked in hospitality for over 10 years, lockdown meant that we missed the joy of cooking and serving the simple pleasure of food.
However, we found ourselves with another problem: we kept making more pasta than we could eat!
That is when we decided to open up our little kitchen and started sharing our pasta dishes with the lovely people of East Lothian and Edinburgh.
They say all roads lead to Rome but what good is a road trip without a few stops along the way? Take the scenic route and you will find Emilia-Romagna, a region in Italy rich with culture, food and wine.
To us, it is a spiritual home and the reason for our name, Æmilia.
We are excited to say that, while our ambitions now may be a little bit bigger than our initial idea, the heart of Æmilia remains the same: great food from our kitchen to yours.

We are passionate about ensuring that our food is as fresh as it can be when you purchase it and we are always trying to achieve the best quality recipes by using local products.
Our pasta will be prepared fresh on a daily basis directly from our shop in Portobello, Edinburgh. You will be able to come along and see everything taking shape whilst enjoying a walk on the High Street.
